Sydney theatre favourite the Old Fitz is hosting a fundraiser that’ll add some drama to your life.

The Old Fitzis the onlytheatre pub in Australia (a venue hybrid we wholeheartedly approve of) and has a reputation as thecrucible for emergingtheatremakersof the past 20 years.Unfortunately, with the recent government budget cuts to the arts, the team at Red Line Productions is struggling to cover costs.

Enter one of the most dramatic fundraisers the Fitz has ever held.

Spanning the entire day, a full program of back-to-back entertainment, theatre, raffles, prizes and a lot of fun will be held for the cause. The program includes Josh Lawson and Toby Schmitz’sShakespearealism, William Zappa’s adapted and abridgedThe Iliad of Homer,The Kvetch Set Collective’sTraffic Street,Kate Mulvany’sChicomas well asThe Zombie Judy Talent Quest.Between shows, share a beer with some of Australia’s most talented actors and creatives.

The fundraiser will take place on Saturday August 22 between 2-10 pm at the Old Fitz Theatre in Woolloomooloo. Tickets to the shows and fundraising info are available online.
