Sydney-based indie-pop quartet give us another cut of material with ‘Give In’.

The new single follows the previously released ‘Only Heart’ and shows off more of the bands dream-pop, psychedelica sound.

‘Give In’ was produced and engineered by Woody Annison (Children Collide, The Living End and Flyying Colours). It takes cues from the like of The Dandy Warhols, Best Coast and Metric.

“We wrote this song collectively as a cathartic release of frustrations. Two themes that remained consistent for us were temptation and addiction to love; something we’re all beset by. Addiction is like quicksand, the more you struggle, the tighter it grips and the less chance you have of breaking free. Sometimes it just feels easier to give in” Frontwoman Emily Smart said of the track.

Off the back of their new release, High Violet will play at the Rare Finds #19 gig at the Oxford Art Factory alongside Billy Fox and PLTS.
