Roughly 310,000 Australians had their personal information accessed, stolen and stored during the massive Cambridge Analytica data breach, and from this afternoon, you’ll be finding out whether or not you were one of the lucky thousands.

87 million users are being notified of that happy fact as of this afternoon – while every single Facebook user — all 2.2 billion of us — will be shown a prompt message explaining how to review the apps and websites that are connected to your account, and basically mining your personal information.

While 310,000 is nothing to sneeze at, us Aussies got off (relatively) easy: one in fifty Australian users were breached, while one in three Americans were.

Plus, you know, Trump.

(If you are one of those breached, shoot me an email – we’d love to post the officially worded message here.)
