After a successful inaugural outing in Melbourne earlier this year, today the organisers of the festival have confirmed it will make the journey to Sydney in 2016.

Meat lovers will be invitedto eat barbecue and watch competitive barbecue teams from around Australia battle it out in an American-style cook-off sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society.The best performing Australian team at the cook-offs will be invited to represent Australia at internationally renowned barbecue contests in the United States, including the American Royal World Series of Barbecue Invitational, and be in the draw for the prestigious KCBS-run Jack Daniels World Championship Invitational Barbecue.

The festival will also feature barbecue food stalls including some of Australia’s finest pitmasters and culinary talent, barbecue cooking demonstrations by local and international barbecue experts, equipment exhibitors showcasing the latest local and imported barbecue products on the market alongside live entertainment and DJs.

The full festival programs will be released later this year.
