Ireland Baldwin has lashed out at Candace Owens for calling the on-set shooting involving her dad “poetic justice”.
Cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was killed on the set of ‘Rust’ last week when Alec Baldwin discharged a prop gun during rehearsal.
The heartbreaking event saw the director of the movie, Joel Souza, shot and injured, too. Noone has been formally charged. However, famed American conservative author, Candace Owens, used the opportunity to launch an attack on Alec in a now-deleted Tweet.
“Alec Baldwin spent four years dedicated to painting Donald Trump and his supporters as evil murderers. What has happened to Alec would be an example of poetic justice if it weren’t for the actual innocent people that were murdered by him. Pray for their families. So sad.”
The Tweet was clearly triggering for Alec’s daughter, Ireland, who blasted Owens over the Tweet shortly after.
“You are the most disgusting, hateful, cancerous human being I’ve ever come across,” Baldwin wrote on her Instagram Story. “Regardless of your foul opinions most of the time, the fact that you would disrespect the life of a woman who was accidentally and tragically killed….Shame on you.”
“I am ashamed to breathe the same air as this woman,” Ireland said in the next slide.

“Your tweets, lack of information, and ignorance are hurting people,” she wrote in an additional story.
Despite the savage exchange, it seems that the two women temporarily patched up their differences. Ireland posted a screenshot of conversations between her and Owens along with a screenshot of her telling Owens “Thank you for taking the time to have a real conversation. Have a peaceful evening.”
Owen initially responded by saying, “No problem. Same to you”. However, she later posted screenshots of their conversation, and followed it with a slide reading, “Ireland Baldwin is in my DMs because I don’t feel bad for her psychopathic father”.
“He has always been a predator in Hollywood who was given a pass,” she added.
