God is a woman and that woman is New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern.

Prime Minister Ardern featured on an episode of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and won over the hearts of audiences everywhere.

The seven-minute interview covered a lot of ground. From maternity bras, to her partner tripping over whilst meeting Donald Trump. Perhaps the most interest revelation is that Jacinda may (or may not) have auditioned for a role in Lord of the Rings.

Colbert —who is known for being a Lord of the Rings fanatic—  asked Ardern about her experience growing up near Hobbiton. To which she responded that it was “slightly offensive that everyone thinks that every New Zealander starred in either Lord of The Rings or The Hobbit”.

When Colbert pressed her as to whether or not she starred in a Lord of the Rings film she responded with “some of us auditioned but weren’t successful okay?
