McAvoy has been a fixture in the Doctor Strange franchise and clued up Marvel fans assumed he’d be back for the next instalment in the movie as his version of Charles Xavier.
The theory of McAvoy’s potential appearance kicked off after fans suspected a voice over in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer sounded like Patrick Stewart. However, Stewart quickly deflected the idea by claiming that people have been imitating his voice for years.
With Stewart ruled out, fans quickly suspected that McAvoy was appearing in the movie. However, McAvoy has taken to Twitter to shut down the rumours.
McAvoy didn’t mince his words, telling the camera, “Are you in Doctor Strange, No”.
