It’s only a couple of days in but the new season of Big Brother has started with a bang.

Former male model Josh became the first housemate to be evicted after some serious flip-flopping occurred. After an intense private conversation with Sam, who he knew on the outside world, he asked to be put up for elimination.

Josh then had a sudden change of heart and asked to remain in the house but it was all in vain. His mates in the house considered him too much of a liability and he was gone.

One of the hotly-tipped housemates still remaining in the house is Taras, founding member of Sticky Fingers and one half of F-POS, but he’s not the only contestant with a music career.

Meet 23-year-old Jaycee: “I’m a performer, I’m a hustler, I’m an entrepreneur, I’m a visionary, I’m a creative, I’m a lot of things,” he says humbly in his introductory video.

The WA hip hop artist has the talent to back it up though, having supported the iconic The Veronicas on tour and played at beloved Aussie festivals like Groovin The Moo -those aren’t bad things to have on your CV.

Born and raised in Perth, Jaycee started his solo career by working hard and busking on the city streets. Since then, he’s not stopped creating, now boasting a discography containing over 75 original songs. He doesn’t restrict himself to one genre either, jumping easily between hip hop, R&B, funk, and soul.

With over 1.3 million followers on TikTok already, expect his following to grow after his stint on Big Brother. The self-titled “smiling assassin” should be one to watch in this season of the reality TV show.

And if you want to catch Jaycee in the flesh, he just announced the Calm Before The Storm tour, set to hit Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney in June (see full dates below).

Big Brother continues on Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
