Melbourne musician Jed McIntosh is set to be one of three leads for the upcoming season of The Bachelor.

However, the 25-year-old drummer may have already spoiled his own ending, as a fan spotted him out in Sydney over the weekend, and dished the dirt claiming he was “approaching girls”.

The source told Yahoo! Lifestyle that McIntosh was partying at Sussudio in Potts Point, and she approached him after recognising him from The Bachelor advertisements.

“He seemed very single,” she said.

“It was really weird he was there on his own, he told us he was waiting for his mates but no one came. We left at around 3am and he was still there on his own. It’s as if he just went out to meet people.”

Back in May, McIntosh made headlines around Australia when old controversial social media posts of his resurfaced that showed him joking about “rape” and making other predatory remarks.

According to So Dramatic! the posts from 2011 were uncovered by a newly created account.

In one of the posts, McIntosh writes that he and another person “are gonna rape yas [sic].” He then adds: “so watch out because theres a storm coming kids 😉 [sic].”

Two additional screenshots of McIntosh’s posts were shared. In one of the posts, he allegedly writes, “So now it’s just you and me captain, [blacked out name] let’s go into battle and smash some pussy and let people now that we’re MOTHER FUCKING SINGLE”.

In the third post that was shared, he states that he was “having a perve on” his teacher.

McIntosh is 25, and the offensive posts were shared in 2011, which means he would have been around 14 at the time. McIntosh has apologised for the disturbing content, claiming that he is “shocked seeing these posts”.

“These posts are from over 10 years ago and I don’t have any recollection of making them,” he continued in a statement to The Daily Telegraph.

Anyone who knows me knows this is not who I am.”

He added: “As a kid we say things not understanding the gravity of the language used but I can adamantly say as an adult I do not agree with the use of language and sentiment of the posts.”

I have the upmost respect for women, am a strong advocate for assault victims and would never want to cause any harm or hurt to anyone.”
