It’s been a hot minute since Jerry Seinfeld and his Bee Movie buzzed onto movie theatres screens all around the world.

Since then Seinfeld has stayed busy, keeping on the stand-up circuits, bringing the world live shows as well as turning them into Netflix specials. And that’s exactly what he’s going to do next.

Putting the traditional stand-up proceedings on ice for a little bit, Seinfeld is set to make his return to the realm of films, with news breaking that he is currently in the early stages of his new comedy-based movie called, Unfrosted.

As per Variety, he is set to produce, direct and star in the upcoming comedy which is about popular American sweet treat: the Pop Tart, obviously.

Seinfeld recently tweeted about Unfrosted, in quite the cryptic manner. He wrote: “Here’s more about “UNFROSTED – The Pop Tart Story” 1. Yes, it is the same lunatic writing team that gave you the uncomfortable hit “Bee Movie”. 2. The story of how the Pop Tart was invented is told like “The Right Stuff”. 3. A few parts we did not make up. 4. I work clean.”

Seinfeld has co-written the film’s script and is based off a bit that he’s being doing for a while now, where he makes jokes about his first time eating a Pop Tart when he was a kid (which surfaced in his Netflix show: 23 Hours to Kill).

One time he also elaborated on the bit, revealing just how much the snack blew his mind.

Right now production for the film is expected to begin in 2022, but a cast and a release date are still under wraps. Unfrosted will be Seinfeld’s first major film project since Bee Movie.
