In a new interview, actor and comedian Jim Carrey said that he will ‘probably’ retire from acting after Sonic The Hedgehog 2.

Jim Carrey says he will probably say goodbye to acting after Sonic The Hedgehog 2. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Carrey seemed fairly serious about putting his career to rest after the movie comes out.

“Well, I’m retiring. Yeah, probably. I’m being fairly serious. It depends, if the angels bring some sort of script that’s written in gold ink that says to me that it’s going to be really important for people to see, I might continue down the road, but I’m taking a break.” he said.

The actor also added that he felt like he had done his fair share where his career was concerned.

“I really like my quiet life and I really love putting paint on canvas and I really love my spiritual life and I feel like — and this is something you might never hear another celebrity say as long as time exists – I have enough. I’ve done enough. I am enough.” he said.

Could one of these aforementioned scripts ‘written in gold ink’ be a part in Dolly Parton’s biopic? In a recent interview, the legendary country singer revealed that she had her eye on Carrey to play her music partner Porter Wagoner.

While there has been no news on that front, Carrey was up for it, claiming he would ‘always speak to Dolly’.
