With 2020 being the endlessly burning dumpster fire it is, it seems fitting that today’s dose of batshit crazy news comes in the form of US President Donald Trump accepting Joe Rogan’s offer to debate Joe Biden on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience.

Former MMA fighter Ted Kennedy took to Twitter to reveal that he and Rogan had discussed the presidential debates on Joe’s podcast, with the duo entertaining the idea of having Rogan moderate a four-hour debate between President Trump and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“On my podcast with @joerogan he offered to moderate a debate between @JoeBiden and @realDonaldTrump It would be four hours with no live audience,” Kennedy tweeted. “Just the two candidates, cameras, and their vision of how to move this country forward. Who wants this? #debates #Election2020.”

To much surprise, Trump jumped on the offer and quote-tweeted Kennedy with the response: “I do!”

As discussion and debate about the bizarre sitch grew louder on social media, Kennedy soon followed up his original tweet with another that read:

“A long-form debate with a neutral moderator. No fake audience reactions. No biased questions. Neutral camera positions. No sound bite length responses. Just their respective policies explained to us. Please @realDonaldTrump and @JoeBiden make it happen.”

Rogan had said that he would be happy to mediate the hypothetical debate between Trump and Biden so to avoid the bias in the media.

“First of all, I want no one else in the room, just the three of us, and you’d have to stream it live so no one can edit it, and I would want them in there for hours,” Rogan said.

“If they wanted to do that – they both wanted to come here in Austin, sit down and have a debate – I would 100% do it,” he continued.

“But I don’t think that Biden can handle it. I think Biden is like, I think he’s, I mean people get mad at me for saying this, I think there’s something wrong and I don’t think there’s something wrong, because I’m guessing, or because I’m pro-Trump. I’ve seen him fall apart,” Rogan said.

Joe Biden has not yet weighed in with his opinion on Joe Rogan’s offer.
