Josh Peck has shared the reason for the bitter feud between him and his co star, Drake Bell, and has confirmed that the former co-stars aren’t friends today.

During an appearance on Dave Portnoy and Josh Richards’ podcast BFFs, Peck was asked whether he and Bell were friends, to which he responded “Not really. No.”

Peck went on to explain that the beef between the two former co-stars spiralled when Peck didn’t invite Bell to his 2017 wedding.

“The dirty little secret, I guess, was like, I knew that Drake and I didn’t stay in touch for the 10 years since we made the show,” he said. “But no one needed to know that. I was happy to just die with that secret that like, we made this thing that people really love, but maybe we weren’t that close. So I didn’t invite him to my wedding because I hadn’t really talking to him in many, many years,” Peck said on the show.

He added: “Cut to, I’m getting married that night and I see these text messages from him, like cursing me out, coming for me. On the night of my wedding… I don’t care about me, it’s, whatever, I signed up to be a public person. It is what it is. But here’s my wife, who’s like, getting torn down on the Internet and I’m like, she’s private and she just got married.”

The internet tear down that Peck is referring to was ignited when Bell expressed his displeasure about being left off the wedding list on Twitter.

“When you’re not invited to the wedding the message is clear…” and “Loyalty is key. ALWAYS remember where you came from.” He then deleted the tweets,” Bell tweeted on Peck’s wedding day.

While the pair seemed to patch up their differences at the 2017 MTV where an image of them hugging was posted on social media, Peck says the photo wasn’t as heart felt as it seemed.

“I go up to him—and this might be the most Sopranos thing I’ve ever done, I look at him and I go, ‘Go apologize to my wife right now,” he said. “And he goes, ‘OK’ and he like, made a beeline for my wife and I see him do like, this whole five-minute performance of an apology and I was like, ‘Go apologize to my wife or something bad’s gonna happen,” he said.

Josh Peck and Drake Bell shot to fame when they starred together on the Nickelodeon sitcom Drake & Josh in 2004, which ran for 56 episodes until 2007. The actors also starred in three movies for the franchise; Drake & Josh Go Hollywood (2006), Drake & Josh: Really Big Shrimp (2007) and Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh (2008).
