It’s been a couple of years now since Kanye West’s The Life Of Pablo (fka Waves, fka Swish) was released following a pretty drawn-out period of time in which fans wondered if they would ever actually see the new record. Now, it looks like Kanye could be up to his old tricks again, with rumours circulating that he’s recording with a bunch of big names.

As Billboard reports, Kanye West has been spending a bit of his time over in the US state of Wyoming (which, fun fact, is known for having two, count ’em, two escalators in the entire state), where it is assumed that he’s been rubbing shoulders with some rather big players in the world of hip-hop.

Following confirmation of Kanye’s presence in Wyoming by Kim Kardashian on Twitter recently, the Twitter account @TeamKanyeDaily have been doing their due diligence and connecting the dots that have become evident when it has been pointed out a lot of other big names are in the state.

As @TeamKanyeDaily and other sources have noted, Travis Scott, Mike Dean, Wheezy, A$AP Bari, Jeff Bhasker, The-Dream, King Louie, Nas, and Kid Cudi have all been spotted in the area, with almost all of them being known for having collaborated with Kanye in the past.

As Pitchfork clarifies though, some of the images that have been cited as being taken in Wyoming are just speculative, pointing to the fact Travis Scott has not tagged his location, though a photo by his manager David Stromberg was posted from the state.

E! News also reported on Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s trip to Wyoming, with a source reportedly telling them that “Kanye loves to escape to Wyoming to record his music because it is peaceful and he can lock up and really focus on getting tracks done.”

“He thinks by being at the mountains, he doesn’t have many distractions and can have a more clear sense of direction for his music,” they added. “That is why he usually escapes there when he is in the zone to get things done. Kanye wants to release something ‘very soon’ and is really excited about getting back into the creative game.”

So, them’s the facts about what’s going on, but will we actually be seeing any new music from Kanye soon? Could this whole trip just be a ruse for something else entirely, and even if music is recorded, will it be released in the foreseeable future? Whatever the case, we look forward to seeing new music from Kanye, in whatever form it may take.
