While the end of the Ellen show might signify the end of an era, as the saying goes, out with the old, in with the new. Cue Kelly Clarkson!

As reported by BillboardKelly Clarkson’s very own talk show, The Kelly Clarkson Show is set to become the crown jewel of talk shows – right now Clarkson’s show airs on 200 TV stations across America.

Not only that, it will also take over the coveted daytime slot Ellen currently occupies. However, next year will also mark the end of the Ellen show.

NBCUniversal Local president, Valari Staab said, “We look forward to Ellen DeGeneres’ 19th season paired with Kelly Clarkson for what is sure to be a blockbuster year. By 2022, The Kelly Clarkson Show will be the star of our daytime entertainment schedules and an asset to our early afternoon newscasts.”

Executive VP, NBCUniversal Syndication Studios, Tracie Wilson, also said, “The Kelly Clarkson Show is one of the most optimistic success stories in first-run syndication. It is a treasured part of NBCUniversal Syndication Studios offering and we are proud to partner with the NBC Owned Television Stations group to continue the show’s success.”

She continued, “Kelly and our entire production team put their heart, intent and incredible passion into making a show that resonates with people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds. We’re working on some big plans for season three and are looking forward to becoming the premier show in daytime for years to come.”

With DeGeneres’ recent fall from grace over the last year or so, along with her former staff ranting about it on national television, it couldn’t be a better time to ring in the next era of a brand new talk show.
