Kim Kardashian launched a 9-step-skin-care line today called ‘SKKN’ and the new products has fans questioning whether she copied the name off Aussie influences Emilee and Amy Hembrow who already have a skin clinic called ‘SSKIN’.

While the similarity in names may appear as a mere coincidence, the Kardashians and the Hembrows have a fair bit of history, and not all of it is pleasant.

Like the Kardashians, the Hembrows are five sisters, Tammy, Amy, Emilee, Star and Ava, who have launched successful empires in the fitness and beauty industry. Together they have a following of over 16.5 million on Instagram alone.

Tammy originally became acquainted with the reality family after she modelling for Khloe Kardashian’s clothing line Good American. She and Kylie Jenner forged a friendship as a result, and Tammy was famously photographed in 2018 leaving Kylie’s birthday party on a stretcher. She has since admitted that she was drinking at the party.

Shortly after the incident, Kylie unfollowed Tammy on social media. A year later, Kylie’s baby daddy Tyga rapped a guest verse on the remix of Ambjaay’s ‘Uno’. In the lyrics he mentioned a girl by the name of Tammy, and rapped about an x-rated tryst between the two, inciting cheating rumours. Tammy Hembrow later confirmed that she was the woman in the lyrics.

Fast forward to February of this year, and Kylie gave birth to her second child with Tyga. The couple temporarily named their son Wolf, which is the same name as Tammy’s son. Fans believed Tammy was throwing shade at Kylie when she posted an Instagram post of her Wolf hours after Kylie’s baby name announcement. She captioned the pic, ““My Wolf.”

The aforementioned feud – and clear familiarity between the families – has fans wondering if Kim Kardashian nabbed the name ‘SKKN’ from the Hembrows.
