In exciting confectionary news, KitKat have announced they will be launching a new flavour in Australia. To celebrate the launch of KitKat Gold, the brand is giving chocolate fiends a chance to try the new flavour for free in Sydney and Melbourne!
The flavour will be available to purchase all over Australia when it launches. In a world first for the brand however, people in Sydney and Melbourne will have the opportunity to pick a block from the KitKat Gold wall and try the flavour.
A wall will be set up in Sydney’s Martin Place on August 30th, and Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station on September 3rd. Each wall will have 8000 delicious golden treats for anyone to try. Each wall also has one bar with a Gold Ticket, giving someone the chance to win a trip to Tahiti or Africa worth up to $5000!
The new flavour promises to have the classic KitKat wafers, covered in a new caramelised white chocolate. It comes after KitKat launched their Ruby flavour earlier this year, available exclusively at the brand’s Chocolatory in Melbourne.

Head of Marketing Confectionary at Nestlé Anna Stewart told NewsCorp that the flavour is created by caramelising the butter before mixing the chocolate together.
Stewart is also asking for anyone who tries the chocolate to place feedback on the brand’s FaceBook page. Telling News.com.au “we encourage anyone who gets to try it to let us know their feedback on our Facebook page. We are always looking for customer feedback.”
