Konrad Bien-Stephen has revealed that he’s trading in his reality TV career in the hope of getting a job as an actor.
Konrad came third in Brooke Blurton’s season of The Bachelorette and went on to compete in The Challenge Australia. He also gained a huge amount of public attention for dating former The Bachelor contestant and media personality Abbie Chatfield in 2021.
Reflecting on his time in reality TV, Konrad said he doesn’t want to go back for another show.
“My experience on The Bachelorette was very wholesome and very lovely, and then The Challenge was this mental mindf**k of a game,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia. “So after doing The Challenge I was like, ‘I’ll never do reality TV again’.
“I don’t know if reality TV is really my thing, but I really enjoy productions and I like being a part of that whole environment, from hair and makeup and filming to talking to the runners and the producers and all that sort of stuff. I would really love to do more scripted stuff or hosting.”
The ex-reality star told the publication that he’s been working as a tradie in the construction and carpentry industries, but has recently been accepted into NIDA’S acting program.
“It’s really fun,” he says. “That’s something I do on Saturdays as a little hobby, but also with the hopes that maybe one day I can do some sort of acting or hosting.

“Maybe I can be one of the next River Boys,” he joked about the Home and Away group of men.
Konrad is currently dating Aussie musician Thelma Plum and in February he told Confidential that “Everything is going really well, and we are really happy.”
The couple sparked dating rumors back in December after being spotted cozying up at a National Gallery of Victoria gala event. However, at the time the reality star told Herald Sun they were just friends.
Konrad later debuted his relationship with the musician by sharing a story of himself and Thelma kissing on New Year’s Eve. He later further confirmed their relationship when he posted a series of photos to Instagram last week showing them together on a holiday to Hobart.
