In a new interview, Kris Jenner thanks Kim Kardashian for working overtime when it came to keeping The Kardashians ‘relevant’.
Kris Jenner’s favourite child may be Kylie these days, but Kim Kardashian is working overtime to get her crown back. In a new interview, Jenner revealed that credit is due to Kim for being heavily involved in their show The Kardashians and essentially keeping the family relevant.
Discussing the show’s long run in popular culture – first on E! and then on Hulu – with Entertainment Tonight, Jenner revealed that Kim’s commitment to the show hasn’t stagnated despite the time. In fact, she said, Kim’s usually the one who monitors responses to each episode and decides what stays and what goes.
“They’ve just done such a good job of editing the shows and getting them out there. We really haven’t, in this go round, have to really even think about [what to cut], to be honest,” Jenner said.
“I think Kim is really good at zeroing in on things like that, those kind of issues that might seem stale or not relevant anymore… but so far it’s been a breeze.” she added.
Jenner also admitted that back when the show was just wrapping up its pilot season, the family was worried whether they would ever make it to a second season – let alone multiple.
“When we first started I thought, ‘Oh gosh, will they pick us up for season 2?’ They did in the middle of season 1. They said, ‘Good news, bad news. Good news is you’ve been picked up for season 2, bad news is you don’t get a break’… It was a lot of hard work.” she said.

On the latest episode of The Kardashians, Jenner pulled no punches in clapping back at people who think the Kardashians are famous for being famous.
“I don’t know why this question got started about how much talent we have,” Jenner said on the episode, before emphasising that her children had done well for themselves in all of their businesses, and measuring them by other standards would be unfair.
“Would they ask Jeff Bezos that? ‘Can you dance? Can you sing?’” she said. “We have some amazing businesses that became super successful. And we enjoy being together as a family and working on those companies. And that’s our superpower. Not too shabby.”
