Did you have your birthday plans thwarted by coronavirus, and you’re a bit bummed out? Well, Krispy Kreme is here to sweeten the deal, as they’re dishing out free doughnuts to those who spent their birthday in isolation.
This year has been a bummer, that’s for sure and certain. On top of already having events cancelled and having to stay inside, some of us have had our birthday plans crushed this year due to social distancing, too, and Krispy Kreme wants to help out.
As part of Krispy Kreme’s 83rd birthday celebrations, the doughnut hawkers are celebrating by giving out absolute gobs of their Original Glazed Doughnuts to those of us who have had to endure our birthdays in isolation.
Today only, the doughnut giants are going to be slinging doughnuts by the dozen to any Australians who have their birthday anywhere between March 13th and July 13th.
That’s right, all you have to do to qualify is literally be born in those dates, bring your I.D. in tow, and you’ll be walking away with a scrumptious dozen of Original Glazed doughnuts.
Krispy Kreme Australia CEO, Andrew McGuigan says, “From toilet paper presents to zoom parties to less-than-impressive cakes, there’s no doubt birthday celebrations have been lacking these last few months. So, we’ve decided to share some joy with all those who missed out, with our biggest doughnut giveaway to date.”
This deal is going down all across Australia (well, besides Northern Territory and South Australia), but if you’re like me, and back under stage three restrictions in Victoria, you’ll only be able to snap up this prezzie at the drive-thru at either Fawkner, Fountain Gate, or Bulleen.

Did you not have to celebrate your birthday in isolation? Well, consider yourself a lucky duck in other ways! Although you won’t qualify for the no-strings-attached free dozen, Krispy Kreme still has an offer on board where if you buy a dozen Original Glazed, you’ll get a dozen anytime between Wednesday, July 15th and Sunday, July 19th.
