Kyle Sandilands has grilled MKR judge Manu over his co-star Nigella Lawon’s reported refusal to be interviewed on The Kyle & Jackie O Show.
Manu phoned in for an interview with Kyle and Jackie O this morning. However, Nigella was notable absent.
“What’s her problem, apparently I hear, correct me if I’m wrong producers, the network is upset because Nigella’s team said ‘no way, you’re not going on that filthy show.’ Our show, how does that happen?” Kyle asked the TV chef.
Manu responded, “‘I have no idea, that’s news to me buddy! I will make sure she talks to you next time.”
However, Kyle wasn’t interested in Manu’s vague response and continued to push the topic.
“How am I meant to support you when the woman besides you loathes the thought of me… you just wriggled out of that and made a false promise. I think she’s amazing, she’s the queen, but when you find out someone doesn’t like you, you can’t help but not like someone back,” Kyle said.
“I think you’re just being upset for no reason, Kyle,” Manu awkwardly responded.

After Manu hung up, Jackie O broached the tense atmosphere in the interview between the chef and Kyle.
“Who gives a s**t what he’s sick and tired of talking about!” Kyle retorted
“I’m not here to facilitate other people’s s**t. I like Manu, he can come on and I like the show [MKR], but I’m very shocked about the Nigella [Lawson] thing.”
Through the past 11 seasons of MKR, since its inception, Manu has judged the series alongside controversial chef Pete Evans. However, this year Evans has hung up his apron and Manu will be joined by esteemed British chef Nigella Lawson for season 12.
Season 12 of MKR premieres on Sunday, August 7th at 7pm on Channel 7.
