Kyle Sandilands has admitted that both he and Jackie O were asked to go on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here and said he was offered “a lot of money” to appear on the show.

In recent days a teaser was released that said a radio star will be competing on this year’s season of the popular reality show. In the clip, the word ‘kiss’ was repeatedly used, leading many fans to believe the contestant would be from popular radio station KIIS FM.

While Jackie O and Kyle are the most well-known presenters from the station, they’ve both confirmed that they won’t be heading into the jungle. However, Kyle told listeners that both he and Jackie O have previously been asked.

“They’ve offered me a lot of money to go in there before. You’ve [Jackie O] been offered to go there. A lot. Like Warney money,” Kyle said, referring to Shane Warne who claimed in his autobiography that he was paid $2 million to compete on the show.

While the promo certainly suggests the radio presenter will be from KIIS FM, both Kyle and Jackie O said they couldn’t think of anyone who would be starring in the show.

The hosts spent a few minutes brainstorming who from KIIS FM could be appearing on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Outta Here, and came to the conclusion that they think it’s Monty Diamond.

“Monty has a show called Show and Tell, and she [previously] worked on KIIS,” Jackie O said on The Kyle and Jackie O Show.

“We found it, everybody. The mystery is over. It’s Monty Diamond,” Kyle told listeners.

Monty previously co-hosted the 3PM Pickup with Kate Langbroek and Yumi Stynes nationally, before the show came to an end late last year. The radio presenter announced her departure from the station in an Instagram post and called out KIISFM in the caption.

“After 8 years of doing The 3pm Pick Up on the wireless it’s time to hang up the headphones. It has been the world’s BEST job! I’ve been lucky enough to work alongside a cracking little team and my goddd [sic] we have giggled hard EVERY SINGLE DAY!”

“Bummer that the big wigs at KIIS couldn’t present acceptable terms for us to move forward,” she wrote.
