Last night the nostalgia levels in 2021 hit an absolute peak, thanks to the Friends reunion special. And boy was it loaded!

Among the many surprises spread across the nearly two-hour long episode, its special guests were top notch.

Not only did the producers bring back special key actors who played beloved characters from across the show, they also brought many actors, musicians and other celebs onto the show to make it one huge party. Justin Bieber, Mindy Kaling, David Beckham, Cindy Crawford and more made their own little appearances.

But the one which definitely stole the show? That was probably when Lady Gaga stopped by Central Perk to do a little duet with Lisa Kudrow aka Phoebe.

According to Access, Gaga has actually been a huge fan of Friends, including Phoebe’s ‘Smelly Cat’ original, and asked if she could be a part of the reunion special.

“Hi!” Kudrow says. Gaga responds, “It’s so weird ’cause I was walking down the street and I just happened to have my guitar.”

“Oh my God!” Kudrow exclaimed. Gaga then proceeds to walk in and asks her, “Do you need some help?”

Kudrow hesitates and responds, “I mean, I guess so.” Gaga then asks, “Do you mind if I, uh, take ‘Smelly Cat’ for a spin?”

“Yeah, yeah that would be great,” Kudrow confirms.

And not too long after Kudrow and Gaga have begun duetting, out of nowhere, a choir pops out to bring home the track in a soulful medley style.

Once they conclude the musical number, Gaga takes a second to share something quite touching with Kudrow. She says, “Can I just say something? Thank you so much for being the person for all of us on Friends, I don’t know if this is the right way to say it but, the different one, or the one that was really herself.”

To which Kudrow replies, “Thank you. And thanks for carrying it along.” But before you get swept away with all the warm fuzzies, Kudrow says the most Phoebe thing possible. “I still think it’s better when it’s just me.” Gaga responds, “It is.”
