Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent says she is all ready for motherhood – but she’s not relying on a man for it.
Lala Kent is admittedly ready to become a mother, but she’s definitely not relying on a man to do it. During a recent appearance on the podcast Scheananigans, the Vanderpump Rules star – who was involved in a very public break-up – revealed that she’s sworn off of men for the time being.
That doesn’t, however, mean that she’ll put off her plans of having a child – Kent added that she’s slated in for an intra-uterine insemination (IUI) sometime next year. While she’s still open to having a partner, Kent remains wary of the uncertainty.
“There’s such a high chance of it not working out, especially where we live. I’m not taking the chance. Like, I am so scarred from all of this shit that has happened in my life.” she said, before adding: “I’m doing a sperm donor, period. I will not even attempt to try and do it a different way. I don’t want another person involved.”
Kent’s comments were presumably in relation to her very public separation from producer Randall Emmett, with whom she also has a daughter. At the time, reports revealed that Emmett had been cheating on Kent during their engagement and living a ‘double life’.
During their separation, Kent also alleged that when she confronted Emmett about his cheating, he’d physically assaulted her. Emmett vehemently denied the accusations.

In October 2022, Kent marked one year of separation from him through a post on Instagram, saying: “A year ago I had my ducks in a row and it was time to execute my game plan of escaping a toxic and unsafe place. Even writing this, my heart has started pounding. I didn’t know what my future would hold.”
