Timothée Chalamet recently took to Instagram to share a first-look at his portrayal of the role Willy Wonka in the upcoming Wonka musical prequel.

While no one expected a Willy Wonja prequel to be in the works ever, it’s no surprise that Chalamet as the world-famous chocolatier is a very welcome addition into the world.

The actor was recently in headlines earlier this week as he shared a first-look of himself in the Wonka gear. And now it gets better, as a person who resides near a filming location of the movie stumbled upon it and sneakily shared some footage to Twitter!

They wrote, “theydies and gentlethems, without further ado, the main event… THEE timothée chalamet on my doorstep recording a musical number for wonka ! and i am living ! timmy nation rise !!!”

According to Vulturethe prequel musical is currently being filmed in the seaside town of Lyme Regis, United Kingdom. The news site were able to hit up Art Doherty, the person who shared the sneaky footage.

When asked how he discovered the Wonka set, Doherty describes it as “totally bizarre”.

“It was, honestly, totally bizarre,” he said. “I live in a really, really quiet place in the southwest of England. Genuinely nothing happens here. I can’t describe how quiet it is. There’s like a really nice beach ten minutes from us, which we always go for walks on.”

“Then, it turned out that there was some kind of filming going on. I was like, ‘Oh, Mom, what’s going on on the beach?’ And she was like, ‘Oh, they’re filming that film called Wonka. I think it’s got Rowan Atkinson in.’ And I was like, ‘You mean the film with Timothée Chalamet?’ And she was like, ‘Who’s that?'”

Doherty added, “I’m back the following day and then he shot yesterday and today. It was just the coolest thing ever. He looked like he was having a really good fun time and the crew was super lovely.”
