A bar made from one million Lego bricks is coming to Sydney for a limited time only. After all, Lego creations are meant to be built, drank in, then broken.
TheBrickBars is a “new pop up Adult playground” that will hit four Australian cities — including Sydney — in the next few months.
“This Pop-Up is the first of its kind and will consist of over 1 million blocks, transported and assembled into the ultimate nostalgia trip”, the website explains. “The bar will feature sculptures made completely from building blocks as well as an abundance of blocks for people to shape into their own creations. There will also be local DJ’s spinning tunes all day.”
The bar was originally announced as ‘Legobar’, but the Danish company quickly stepped in to quash this.
“The event you are referring to is not affiliated with the Lego Group,” a Lego rep. told MUNCHIES.
“As a manufacturer of children’s toys, it is not within our remit to partner with brands or individuals operating the food and beverages sector.
“Our primary focus is on inspiring and developing children through providing fun and engaging play materials.”
That is a very fair point. The damaging of brain cells does go against their remit somewhat.
