Tomorrow is International Cat Day, which serves at the perfect opportunity to annoy your cats just a little more and give them some love. And, what says “I love you” more than having a giant replica LEGO version of your cat? Nothing, I tell you. Nothing.

Love cats? Love LEGO? well, here’s an invitation to combine both of those loves into one bundle of blocks, as LEGO has launched a competition where one lucky winner will receive a custom-made model of their kitty, completely made with the little plastic bricks we’ve come to love.

Starting today, all kitty lovers can head over to LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s Facebook, and enter to win to win a life-sized replica of their kitty-cat. All you have to do is submit a photo of your furry feline friend, and let them know why your cat deserves to be immortalised in LEGOs.

Master Model Builder Kieran Jiwa will be in charge of creating the replica of your cat, and has said “as a self-confessed cat lover” they’re pretty excited about this competition.

“In preparation I have already done a practice run with my own cat Freya. This not-so-furry feline is made up of 5,000 LEGO pieces and took me about 50 hours to design and construct,” Kieren stated.

“Freya was hesitant to meet her LEGO double but now they’re firm friends! I’m looking forward to seeing the entries come through and honing my cat building skills. Once I’ve finished the model I will be handing it over to the winner to display at their home.”

Keen to be in the running to have your kitty be recreated as a statue? The competition is featured via LEGOLAND Discovery Centre’s Facebook page, and will close on Tuesday, August 25th. To enter, you’ll need to post a photo of your kitty, their name, age, and breed.
