Josh Moss and Amelia Plummer were the golden couple of Love Island Australia. They met on season one of the reality show, and just a matter of months ago, they were the only couple still together.

However, that all changed in May when they announced their split after four years together. Now, Amelia has shared some insight in a new YouTube video about what went wrong in their relationship, revealing that it was her that decided to end it.

“The little girl that first went into the relationship is so different to now,” Amelia said.

She continued, “I’m shocked I’m crying. I haven’t cried since we broke up, which was two months ago, but the main lesson is: if something doesn’t feel right or you’re putting your values aside, there are some non-negotiables you need.”

“There are parts of me and Josh that just didn’t mesh.”

“I won’t go into the nitty gritty; there’s always two sides. I’m not saying Josh was a bad person at all, but you have to find the strength to do what’s best for you.”

In the video, Amelia denied claims that Josh made on his podcast The Handbags in which he said his ex-girlfriend admitted she wasn’t in love with him anymore.

“I know he did a podcast and there were some things said that didn’t come out of my mouth,” Amelia said.

“I would never tell anyone, ‘I’m not in love with you anymore.’ And I was still in love with Josh when we broke up, and it was a very hard decision.”

In May, both Josh and Amelia took to their respective social media accounts to announce the news of their split.

Plummer wrote, “I felt it was necessary to share that Josh and I have decided to split. This was the most heartbreaking yet respectful breakup. After almost four years of being together we decided to go our separate ways.”

Josh shared his own message on his page, writing, “It comes with great sadness that I, unfortunately, have to share that Amelia and I have decided to break up.”

“This has to be one of the hardest and most heartbreaking decisions we ever have had to make, we had an incredible life together for four years.”
