Australian reality dating show Love on the Spectrum, which has two seasons available on Netflix, will be getting a US version this year.

Netflix appears to be going all-in on reality dating shows. The streaming service has announced a full slate of the kind for the upcoming year including titles such as Love is BlindLove on the Spectrum, Dated and Related (!), and Indian Matchmaking.

The Australian-based reality show Love on the Spectrum appears to be getting the American treatment, with two seasons of the original down under version already available on the platform. The show’s tagline describes it as, “an insightful and warm-hearted docu-reality series following people on the autism spectrum as they navigate the world of dating and relationships. Following the success of the multi-award-winning Australian series, this U.S.-based series tells the stories of a unique and diverse cast of characters searching for something we all hope to find: love.”

A new season of Love is Blind premiered on February 11th and has already been renewed for seasons 4 and 5. The third season has already been filmed in Dallas, Texas and a spinoff show Love is Blind: After the Altar will premiere later in 2022 alongside Season 3.

Indian Matchmaking Season 2 will be coming later this year and has also been renewed for a third season. The show will see, “matchmaker Sima Taparia returns to help some familiar faces and new singletons across the globe who have decided that it’s time to put their love lives in the hands of the expert.”

From the producers of Indian Matchmaking comes the reality show Jewish Matchmaking. The series will see singles in the U.S. and Israel turn their lives over to a Jewish matchmaker and asks the question, “Will using the traditional practice of shidduch help them find their soulmate in today’s world?”
