Big changes are coming to the McDonald’s menu, including the return of a fan favourite burger.

After a long hiatus, the El Maco burger is coming back to the fast food chain’s menu this summer. The El Maco burger was last available all the way back in 2019, and is quite the feast: the Mexican burger contains beef or chicken patties, cheese, lettuce, tomato, alongside chunky salsa and sour cream.

The delicious new menu items will only be available from November 30th until January of next year, so you’ll have to be quick to try them out.

In addition to the El Macy’s return, Macca’s has also confirmed that a new collaboration with Cadbury is on the way. The Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry is a completely new addition to the menu, and sounds ideal for the summer season.

“We love that our customers are so excited about summer at Macca’s!” a Macca’s spokesperson told 7News. “The early rumours are true. We’re bringing back the fan favourite, the El Maco and a deliciously exciting new Cadbury Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry.

“At Macca’s, we believe great combinations make summer special and we have a few more surprises in store, so stay tuned. We can’t wait to come together for another Aussie summer!,” the spokesperson added.

The El Maco burger and Caramilk Hokey Pokey McFlurry additions were sensationally revealed on social media by Nick Vavitis (watch below), and McDonald’s has been having a torrid time of it lately with menu leaks.
