Since the MAFS commitment ceremony reunion episode aired last night, there’s been one burning question circulating around social media: where the hell was Bronte and Harrison?

Bronte and Harrison have arguably been the most polarising couple on the current season of Married At First Sight. Ever since the premiere episode, which saw them engaged in a heated argument about Harrison’s ‘girlfriend’ outside of the experiment, they’ve been the centre of dramatic scenes and scandals all the way until Bronte stormed out of the final dinner party and told Harrison they were “done”.

So, the fact that they didn’t receive any air time during their final discussion on the couch in the MAFS commitment ceremony reunion has left fans puzzled.

Fortunately, an insider has come forward and cleared up exactly why the scandalous couple was cut from the final episode.

“Producers wanted to try and give the season a somewhat happy ending, which is why they cut Harrison and Bronte’s time on the sofa and left on a cliffhanger with Jesse and Claire potentially reuniting instead,” an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.

They added: “Harrison and Bronte’s relationship dominated the season, with every aspect discussed in-depth every week. The only fresh revelation was Harrison’s screenshots of Bronte talking to his ex – but the way that played out at the dinner party, with everyone mocking him, was so organic and hilarious that it was the perfect end to their storyline.

“Him embarrassed as the whole group laughed at him,” the source concluded.

And, MAFS star Jesse Burford confirmed in a Facebook comment that Bronte and Harrison did film a scene on the couch with the experts.

“No idea why they didn’t air Bronte and Haz. You didn’t see Shannon and Caitlin (which was absolutely brutal) or Josh and Mel either,” He wrote..

“The 3 remaining couples: Janelle and Adam, Rupert and Ev, and Tayla and Hugo weren’t filmed.”
