Former MAFS star Dom Calarco started a Reddit thread last night to ask users to rate her against current MAFS bride Melinda Willis.

Dom took to the platform and shared a photo of herself from last year’s season, and placed it next to a photo from last night’s episode of Melinda wearing a similar dress. “Who wore it better,” she captioned the pics.

The post that Dom shared on Reddit

Although the post was shared by an anonymous user called u/Consistent_Wolf1668, Dom has shared her account to her Instagram earlier that day, and captioned it: “It’s me, hi! If you’re on @reddit Come chat!!!” The screenshot she posted to her story had the same username as the account that posted the photo comparison.

Unfortunately for Dom, many users picked up that it was her posting the comparison, and called her out on it.

“Dom, are you okay? Like, in the head? I know you’re trying to be Abbie chatfield 2.0 but Abbie would never ever encourage her followers to compare her to another woman. Your feminism exists only for you to leverage off, it is so, so fake. This is such a weird clutch for attention. I don’t get it. It is also deeply uncool. Just pathetic,” one user wrote.

Another commented, “Dom, stop trying to compare women like it’s some kind of competition. It’s gross. Two women can wear a similar dress and shouldn’t have to worry if people think someone ‘wore it better’.” The user added, “Stop pretending like you’re still relevant.”

Dom replied to the comment and brushed the post off as a joke. “I’m not comparing, it was a joke. The dress is similar… it’s light-hearted. Don’t understand why people are so riled up over this,” she wrote back to another user who called her out over the post. The thread has since been locked.

Dom was one of the break out stars from last year’s season of MAFS and racked up the most Instagram followers out of all of the season nine contestants. She now hosts a podcast called Sit With Us along with her former co-star Ella Ding.
