MAFS star Hayley Vernon has revealed that she recklessly spent thousands of her OnlyFans earnings in ‘miscellaneous spending.’

MAFS star Hayley Vernon may have raked in thousands from her OnlyFans account, but she couldn’t hold on to a lot of it, according to the reality star.

In a series of posts and stories on Instagram, the reality star revealed that she realised she needed to be ‘smart’ with her money after discovering she’d spent thousands in ‘miscellaneous spending.’

“What does it take to blow $10,000 a year? Just $27.40 a day in miscellaneous spending,” she said. “Last week I saved about $280 in a week by not eating breakfast out and that wasn’t including all the lunches I would normally eat out. This year: one meal out a week. Even though I make great money, it’s time to be smart.”

In another follow-up post, Vernon also admitted to feeling like she wasn’t ‘respecting the money’ she was earning now while alluding to her difficult financial past.

“The way in which my life is today, I could never, ever have imagined. [A few years ago] I was stealing food from Woolies and Coles, how does this happen?” she said, admitting that the sudden influx of money may have gotten to her head.

“I realised a few things last year… I was treating myself so often that my treats just became my lifestyle. I was bored because I could just get what I wanted when I wanted.” Vernon wrote.

She added: “I wasn’t respecting the money I was earning and how much I would’ve, just a few years earlier. Don’t get me wrong, I was appreciative and grateful and still am, but I was being reckless to a degree.”

Vernon then revealed that going forward, she would be going ‘back to basics’ – living the way she did five years ago when she was financially struggling. Instead of regrets, however, she was feeling a sense of accomplishment. “I was being a flog and I’m not a flog.” she wrote.
