MAFS intruders Hugo and Tayla have leaked a video that they took while filming their honeymoon, which suggests the amount of control producers have over participants’ actions on the show.
Instagram account MAFSGossip shared the video, which shows Tayla and Hugo speaking to the camera. Though they only entered the experiment last week, episodes have shown the couple has struggled to get along, with Tayla appearing to boss Hugo around.
“Anything of substance, we’re only allowed to do that in front of [the camera crew] while they see what we say. It’s really weird,” said in the video.
Tayla added that she and Hugo are only allowed to speak to one another when the filming crew is there.
“We have not been able to talk [privately]. We are checked on to see if we are actually talking.”
“We’re very directed in what we have to say and filming doesn’t stop because we are being held accountable for the characters we are supposed to be,” she added.

At the end of the video, Tayla flicks the camera to Hugo before asking if there was anything more he’d like to add.
“Tayla is not as mean as everyone makes her out to be,” he said, before joking: “but she still should think that I’m hotter than I am. I don’t know what the fuck that’s about? I’m a delight.”
In other news, Tayla called out fellow bride Lyndall on her Instagram account before producers took over. All participants hand their social media accounts to the MAFS team while the show airs.
“I feel it’s important to get this out before my accounts get taken,” Tayla wrote on her Instagram story at the time. “Lyndall, you’re the biggest bully I’ve ever met. This article is surface level and the amount of hurt you have caused many people is damaging and dangerous.
“I’m hoping people get to tell their truth and the real story is heard sooner rather than later.”
