MAFS star Jackson has shed some more light on his controversial split with ex-girlfriend Olivia and said that the “haters” weren’t the reason for their breakup.
Jackson took to his Instagram stories today to answer some questions from his followers. During the Q&A session, he told a follower that he and Olivia simply “drifted apart”.
One fan asked Jackson if he abandoned Olivia “because of the hate she was getting.”
He responded, “Us splitting had nothing to do with the haters… We had just drifted apart. Splitting up with someone isn’t abandoning them.”
Jackson was partnered with Olivia on the hit reality show and the couple continued to date for ten months after the show finished filming.
Olivia received a lot of backlash during her time on Married At First Sight. Throught the season, Olivia repeatedly found herself in the middle of explosive situations. She was first unofficially awarded the villain title after ridiculing Domenica over her “annoying” voice and then for embellishing a story about the confrontation between the two TV wives. Later in the season she came under fire for exposing Dom’s OnlyFans account to the group.

The couple announced their split in August in a joint Instagram post.
“After a wonderful 10 months together we have decided to go our separate ways. There has always been a lot of love in our relationship and there will continue to be as we transition into a friendship.
“We have nothing but love and respect for one another, and no one is to blame for the end of this relationship. Simply a case of ‘almost perfect’. We hope you all can please show compassion as we navigate this privately,” both reality stars posted on their profiles.
However, Olivia has today teased her followers today about a possible reunion with Jackson. She posted a selfie video of herself on her Instagram story with the caption, “Guess who I’m picking up”. The location was tagged as Sydney airport.
Her ex-boyfriend Jackson uploaded a story on Instagram earlier today at the airport. “The look of an idiot who booked his flight on the wrong day,” he posted.
