MAFS participant Melissa has issued a lengthy apology to her former TV husband Josh, just weeks after she slammed him in post-show interviews.
Melissa and Josh were paired up in the experiment but left in the second commitment ceremony. During the ceremony, Josh told experts John Aiken and Mel Schilling and Alessandra Rampolla that Melissa had questioned his manhood and “controlled” him by attempting to restrict his access to TV and his mobile phone. Throughout the current season of MAFS, Melissa has also called Josh out for not wanting to be intimate with her enough.
Even though Melissa wrote ‘stay’ during the episode, the experts asked Josh if he’d like to leave due to Melissa’s treatment. He confirmed he did and both parties left the show.
In a follow up interview with Kyle and Jackie O, Melissa accused Josh of crocodile tears.
“Josh is a very different person in front of me [to] he would go do these voxxies [interviews-to-camera] and break down,” she said.
She added, “:I felt like I was sleeping with a secret assassin. He was just running off [to the producers]. He would be so kind to my face and then behind closed doors [would] break down, and I had no idea… I was 100 per cent blindsided.”
However, Melissa has since changed her tune, and issued an overdue apology to Josh via Instagram.

“Josh, I am sorry that my words were hurtful or damaging to you and that was never my intention to hurt you in any way, shape or form,” she began in the social media statement that was posted today.
Melissa continued, “I went in this #MAFS experiment hoping to find our perfect matches and as we didn’t find our forever after, wanted to let you know I hope when you’re ready you will find love and find what it is that you need out of a future relationship.
“And I wish you nothing but the BEST for your future Xx
“As we both need this and now we can put this chapter behind us and as we leave the experiment we remember the good times and laughs we had together.
“Take care and hope to smile with you one day when we both have healed. Take care Josh. ❤️ Mel”
