One half of golden MAFS couple Michael has returned to Instagram to reveal that his fiance Martha went back to hospital last night and that she is still sick.
Martha and Michael, who were paired on season six Married at First Sight and got engaged in 2021, are usually very active on social media but pulled back from the platform after revealing that Martha had a mystery illness that caused them to cut their European holiday short last month.
“Hi, everyone. I know I’ve been quiet on here. I’ve been bedridden for a few weeks, but I’m finally home and getting the care I need,” Martha wrote on Instagram after flying back to Australia.
Since then, not much information has been shared about Martha’s condition, except that she is suffering from a viral infection. Last week, Michael shared a photo of Martha rugged up in bed, with her mum by her side. “Mum, being mum,” he captioned the pic.
Last night, Michael shared a small update with fans about Martha. “I got pulled over by police at 12am after taking Martha to the hospital (she’s ok) for having these on my plates,” he wrote in a story with a photo of a number plate border covering. He continued, “They said they were reflecting the headlights from their car and couldn’t read my number plate and through the car could be stolen… Said I would normally get a fine, but gave me a warning after explaining where we’d been.”

However, in a series of stories Michael shared encouraging news about Martha’s sickness. “So it’s been a little while,” he began, adding: “Slow getting better”, alongside a photo of him and Martha. He finished, “I’m pretty confident that I’m getting a new grey hair for every day Martha is sick.”
