The upcoming season of MAFS will reportedly involve the “biggest ever scandal” the show has season over the past nine seasons.

According to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia, a groom is “exposed at his wedding for hooking up with another woman hours before walking down the aisle”.

A source told the publication that the groom hooks up with someone who is close friends with the maid of honour at his MAFS wedding.

“As soon as the groom arrived at the ceremony the maid of honour knew she recognised him from somewhere,” the insider said. “She couldn’t believe it when she eventually realised it was the guy her friend was hooking up with.

The maid of honour eventually remembers where she knows the groom from, and all hell breaks loose when she tells the bride about it.

“This all then came out at the wedding leaving the bride humiliated and confused. This season is chaotic from the very start.”

The first trailer for MAFS season ten dropped last week, and mainly focussed on one particular couple. However, it’s been revealed that the couple that features heavily in the clip isn’t actually part of the experiment.

In the trailer, a blonde man waits at the altar as his brunette bride walks down the aisle. When they come together the cameras show them turning from black and white into colour. However, a source told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia that this particular couple are hired actors.

“Channel Nine doesn’t want to reveal which couples are matched together so to prevent spoilers they hire actors for the kissing shots,” they said.

Just last year, the channel did a similar thing with the MAFS promo trailer when they hired X Factor finalists Jess and Matt Price. In the clip Jess and Matt can be seen sharing a romantic kiss on a rooftop with fireworks behind them.

Shortly after the trailer aired the couple shared their experience on Instagram.

“We’re tragic MAFS fans, so when Channel Nine hit us up saying they needed a real-life couple to kiss on camera (coz Covid) and asked if we’d be up to putting on our Hollywood acting shoes to re-enact some 50 Shades wedding vibes for their epic new promo… We threw ourselves into the deep end,” they wrote.

“Big love to the incredible crew that brought this together and for all the ridiculous fun and laughs we had on set shooting this.”
