MAFS sexologist Alessandra Rampolla has explained how MAFS participants are cast and revealed that “matchmaking” isn’t necessarily the top priority
During an appearance on HIT WA Breakfast with Allan and Carly Rampolla told the hosts that casting is done before matchmaking.
“I don’t do the casting … I get to interview the possible candidates, even before they’re officially cast, I do pre-interviews,” she explained.
“Once they’re actually cast, that’s when we (the experts) look at who the participants are going to be, then we do the matchmaking.”
The popular sexologist also told the radio hosts that she trusts contestants when they tell her their intentions, but hinted that they’re not always truthful.
“I trust at face value that (the contestants) tell me the truth, and then, you know, if they don’t …” she said, before host, Allan Aldworth interrupted: “Yeah, then the last season happened!”
Rampolla agreed: “Yeah, then the last season happened.”

During the interview, the MAFS expert was asked about participant Olivia’s recent transition to OnlyFans. During her time on the show, Olivia becae infamous for revealing co-star Domenica’s OnlyFans account and circulating a racy photo of her around the cast.
“Were you shocked when she (Olivia) got an OnlyFans account?” host Carly Portch asked.
“I guess, good for her,” Rampolla replied.
“I think, really the process of being in the experiment … and what the participants do with that, in terms of what they do with their life, and what they learn and maybe don’t learn, is part of the growth that we oftentimes see with the participants. So I hope for the best for her – and everybody else.”
After circulating photos of Domenica around the group, Olivia was met with backlash from the Australian public, and she has unofficially crowned the show’s “villain”.
During a previous interview, Olivia was asked whether the public backlash – that’s come from her appearance on the reality show – has affected her livelihood.
“Yeah, look. I’ve already lost my job as a direct result of this show,” the reality star admitted.
