Claire has defended her kiss with MAFS groom Adam, which happened behind her ‘husband’ Jesse’s back.

At the beginning of the series, a handful of the MAFS stars went out for a night on the town, and Jesse grew suspicious that something was going on between his ‘bride’ Claire and fellow groom Adam. At a commitment ceremony another bride Lyndall told the group that she heard Adam and Claire discussing a kiss, however, both parties denied anything ever happened.

Then, in last night’s episode, Claire admitted to another bride that she did actually kiss Adam on that fateful night, and then came clean to Jesse.

The public was shocked about Claire’s admission, especially considering how vehemently she and Adam denied that it happened. As a result, many social media users slammed the reality star over her actions.

Now, Claire has defended herself, saying she didn’t really believe that Jesse was into her at the time.

“I didn’t really think that Jesse was into me, you know, you’d kind of put down my hobbies, my personality and my, the way I speak. And so in the time it happened, we weren’t really in a good place. But when I heard like on that couch in front of the experts that Jessie did have some feelings towards me, I just knew that if we were going to move forward, I just had to tell him the truth. And that is the hardest part for sure,” she said on Fitzy & Wippa this morning.

When asked by the hosts if it was her that came onto Adam, Claire said she’s not some ‘scarlet lady’.

“I’m not some Scarlet lady. We were just having good chats. He’s a charismatic guy we got along, we’re laughing you know, and we vibed you know,” she said.

Claire added that in the past she’s never cheated while a “committed, loving” relationship.

“I’ve never cheated in a committed loving relationship,” she told the hosts. “It’s not something I would do I have been cheated on and it is awful. It sucks and to be on the other side of that hurting someone. It’s not a nice feeling at all.”
