MAFS star Domenica Calarco has responded to the backlash over her “gross” comments about Robert Irwin by calling out to him in an Instagram Story.

Earlier this week, Domenica came under fire for a series of uncomfortable comments about young Robert. The comments were previously made on the 18-year-old’s TikTok account and resurfaced this week, presumably as a result of Robert’s much-publicised appearance on the cover of Stellar magazine.

“God you are so handsome,” she gushed in one, while in another she asked, “would you like to come to the Logies with me on Sunday? Xx” With the MAFS contestant being 29-years-old and Robert just recently turning 18, her comments on the legendary Steve Irwin’s son were deemed “gross” by many.

That led Domenica to double down in a since-deleted post. “In Australia, legal age is 16. He is 18,” she explained, getting technical. “He can drink alcohol. I can ask him to come to the Logies with me, and say that he is handsome. Take a chill pill everyone.”

And now she’s doubled down again (double-doubled down?), posting a pointed Instagram Story. In the video, Domenica’s is sitting at a table with two beers. “Hi Robert, I’ve got a beer, why don’t you come meet me for a drink?” she says, before blowing a kiss into the camera.

It’s all getting a bit odd, isn’t it? It feels like a comedy bit that’s just gotten out of hand. Steve Irwin’s son hasn’t publicly commented on all the attention, and he probably won’t end up doing so.

Robert is also reportedly dating U.S. actress Emmy Perry, who’s previously been seen in TV shows like Glee. Perry was spotted in Queensland last month with her childhood friend, and also posted videos of Robert on a boat. Sorry to burst your bubble, Domenica.
