The impossibly thirsty Channing Tatum production Magic Mike Live is set to open in Sydney tonight.

After everything that this punishing year has put us through, we ladies and fellas deserve to blow off a little steam. Unless you’re one of those high-functioning people that live a settled life with a long-term partner, you probably fell victim to the great coronavirus-induced sex recession of 2020.

It’s time for us all to collectively get our mojo back. What better way to incite chaotic arousal than with a 360-degree live dance and acrobatic extravaganza based on the horniest film franchise of all time.

Having already completed successful runs in Las Vegas, London and Berlin, the premiere season will mark the first production around the world to return to the stage post-lockdown.

“The morning after we opened our first production in Vegas four years ago, we all talked about the crazy idea of someday putting Magic Mike Live in a tent and traveling around Australia,” explains Channing Tatum of the show.

“The fact that it’s actually happening now is mind-blowing to me. The tent and this new version of the show is more than I ever imagined it could be and I can’t wait for our fans in Australia to see what we’ve created especially for them.” Unfortunately, Channing Tatum himself will not be appearing in the performance.

Along with its upcoming Sydney debut, the show is set to premiere in Melbourne in June 2021, with Brisbane and Perth shows still to be announced.
