Calling all art lovers and explorers: overMardi Gras weekend, the Inner West is hosting the Marrickville Open Studio Trail (MOST).

Over one weekend, over 200 artists from 53 studios, galleries and artist-run initiatives within the Marrickville area will welcome visitors and showcase their work.

Featured spaces and collectives include Nauti Studios, Chrissie Cotter Gallery,art activistsTortuga Studios, and international artistsBenoit+Bo, who will be exhibiting a Mardi Gras-themed piece at theNewsagency Gallery.

Local tours of Marrickville’s studio spaces will also be running throughout the event. These include an art tour run byMelinda Vassallo, afood and culture tour, and the Match Box Projects Walking Tour, in which identical twins and artists Leanne and Naomi Shedlezki will take art fans on a tour of the artist-run initiatives.

Marrickville Open Studio Trail runs Saturday March 5 and Sunday March 6.
