Sydney burger institution Mary’s Newtown will be going vegan for one night only. Mary’s will be enlisting the help of legendary vegan chef Shannon Martinez, the mastermind behind Melbourne’s Smith & Daughters.

Martinez will be bringing her vegan wisdom to the Mary’s kitchen to create a completely-cruelty free Mary’s-style fast food menu. As Time Out reports, they’ll be flogging a burger made with completely plant-based bacon, cheese, sauce and an all-vegan patty; a vegan interpretation of fried chicken, mash potato and gravy, Reuben loaded fries with sauerkraut, pickles, cheese sauce and pastrami.

A delicious vegan degustation won’t be the only thing Mary’s are serving up. They’ll be bringing in Liz Carey of Food + Wine solutions to help you pick out a gorgeous vino to complement your meal.
