If you’re a fan of Rick and Morty as well as the iconic Aussie Maxibon ice cream, you may want to sit down for this bombshell.
In celebration of the hugely anticipated fifth season of Rick and Morty being released on June 20, Maxibon will be turning everyone’s favourite bonkers character, Pickle Rick, into a Pickle Mint-flavoured ice cream sandwich for a limited time.
Marketing Manager at Peters, Carla Spadafora, said that the newly-created flavour has been regularly requested by fans of the drool-worthy ice cream sandwich.
“We heard the calls for a mint upgrade and we know there was no better way to launch our most requested flavour than with Pickle Rick,” Spadafora said.
“As pop culture icons and the world’s biggest ice-cream lovers, we knew Rick and Morty would authentically bring our exclusive mint flavour to life.”
If you’re keen to get stuck into this bizarre but beautiful fusion, you can find Pickle Rick Mint Maxibon ice creams at 7-Eleven stores in Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and Western Australia now, and from OTR stores from July.
It’s not the first time an Australian vendor has turned Pickle Rick into an edible form.

Back in October 2018, Sydney pizzeria, Parrino’s Pizza released a popular ‘Mr Pickle’ pizza which was inspired by the cult TV series.
The Mr Pickle pizza consisted of a mouthwatering garlic base, sliced pickles, sun-dried tomatoes and Spanish onion – it was quite the piz de résistance!
Across the pond, Pickle Rick has also been immortalised as a Pringles chips flavour, and as a gummy lolly that is apparently sweet pickle-flavoured.
An official trailer for the new season of Rick and Morty dropped at the end of March, showcasing a slew of more wacky antics and adventures that we’ve come to expect from our favourite quirky cartoon duo.
