Pokemon continues to celebrate the year that is its quarter of a century anniversary with only the very best of collaborations.

Those who are trying to catch ’em all will be delighted to know that the Happy Meals are available at McDonald’s restaurants across Australia right now.

In each Pokemon Happy Meal you will find a total of four official Pokemon Trading Card Game cards. All up there are 25 different cards to collect.

The Pokemon Happy Meal released initially in the US, with the States receiving double the amount of cards to collect, meaning that there were 50 overall to get your hands on.

In the US, there were purchasing limits placed on the number of packets and Happy Meals per customers. And the same restrictions are being implemented Down Under, with some restaurants allowing only two meals per customer.

As reported by Nine Honey, McDonald’s Australia senior brand manager Liz Whitbread first mentioned the collaboration last month.

In her latest statement, Whitbread addressed the palpable demand for its release.

Whitbread said, “In response to high customer demand, we are thrilled to be launching the limited-edition Pokémon Happy Meal range, giving customers the opportunity to celebrate Pokémon’s 25th anniversary.”

“We know how much love there is for Pokémon in Australia, so we look forward to embracing the nostalgia and excitement by introducing the collectible toys later this year,” she added.

“This has been our most requested Happy Meal collaboration to date, with customers of all ages embracing the excitement of the range.

As with much of the Pokemon licensed merchandise, particularly by way of cards, it’s not uncommon for items to be listed online and resold for a value much higher than purchased.

The Pokemon Happy Meal is available to buy right now and is available only while stocks last.
