After being forced to temporarily close their 70-ish venues a few weeks ago, hospitality heroes Merivale have introduced a delivery service. From here on out you’ll be able to indulge in meal boxes prepared by the creme-de-la-creme of chefs including Dan Hong, Danielle Alvarez, Jordan Toft, Mike Eggert, Ben Greeno and Vincenzo Biondini.
There are currently five set menus to choose from, ranging from $70 to $95. They all are delivered almost entirely ready to eat, with only the tiniest finishing touches needed. Perfect for people hosting illicit apartment dates that want to blow their romantic rendezvous away with a big fat fib about whipping up a nice bit of prime rib and butter lettuce.

Berts Bar & Brasserie At Home – $105 – serves 2
- Duck liver parfait with madeira jelly, toasted sourdough
- Rib of Beef with garlic and bay jus and mustard butter
- Olive oil and oregano crushed potatoes
- Salad leaves with soft herbs and lemon dressing
- Chocolate mousse
Fred’s At Home – $80 – serves 2
- Baked Eggplant and red pepper phyllo hand pies
- Whole roasted cauliflower with burnt butter, turmeric and curry leaf
- Jewelled rice with currants, saffron and pistachio
- Mint and lemon yogurt sauce
- Chopped tomato, cos, radish, and sunflower seed salad with lemon and za’atar vinaigrette
