If you’re an individual with insane levels of fame and a career as illustrious Michael Jordan, it’s safe to say that even your undies are worth money.

While there are many things that Jordan has given extreme value to, particularly by way of Nike Air Jordan’s, now a piece of the former athlete’s underwear is about to auction off for a hefty amount of money.

Right now a pair of Jordan’s underwear/compression shorts, which he once wore himself are up for auction at Leland’s.

How did such a personal item of clothing find itself up for auction?

Well, over the years Jordan’s bodyguard, John Michael Wozniak has come to find himself owning a number of Jordan’s pieces of clothing, as reported by Hypebeast.

And among them are a pair of undies/compression shorts.

While it may sound like a stinky piece of underwear is up for auction, that’s obviously not the case – they’ve been dry cleaned, no less.

Winning the auction for the undergarment also sees you owning  another little piece of memorabilia attached, that being a dry cleaning tag with the names Wozniak and Michael Jordan.

As per Leland’s listening description of the item, they wrote, “About as close to greatness as one can get, this is just one of the many items in this auction that were given to Wozniak from MJ himself including suits, ties, belts, and jackets.”

They also note that they show signs of wear “with some loose threads evident at the seams”.

At the time of publishing there are 23 days left on the auction, with the bid kicking things off at $500 USD.

There is no doubt that these undergarments will auction off to a devoted Michael Jordan fan.
