The latest episode of Moon Knight introduces another comic fan favourite Mr. Knight. But who is this mysterious new character?
Moon Knight is the latest Marvel series to join Disney+ and it is already turning out to be one of the best.
Spoilers ahoy!
Unlike the other shows we’ve seen, Knight is a brand new character joining the MCU. Which means it comes with a whole sandbox of new goodies and baddies to play with.

Included in that sandbox is the mysterious Mr. Knight.
In the comics, our protagonist suffers from Dissociative Identity disorder and in the series, it certainly seems to be going a similar route.
Marc Spector (Oscar Issac) inhabits the personalities of Steven Grant, a millionaire, Jake Lockely, a Taxi driver and of course: Moon Knight. Spector is gifted the powers of Knight from Egyption moon god Khonshu.
However, the brutal and unforgiving persona of Moon Knight generally doesn’t lend itself to co-operative work with the Police. Thus, his more friendly superhero persona Mr. Knight comes into play.
Disney+’s TV adaptation seems to be taking this character a different way. In the series, the Steven Grant persona is an anxious, seemingly poor individual who is unaware of his other lives while Marc Spector seems to be in charge of superhero antics.
But when Grant is affected by the powers of Khonshu instead of Spector, Mr. Knight is created.
So the point of difference is, this is the version of Knight that emerges when Grant is in control, rather than a secondary Moon Knight persona.
Though this change might come as jarring to the comic fans, it’s a shift that should be generally accepted. Especially, since Grant has already been presented as a more gentle and polite individual, while Spector seems to have some… violent tendencies.
It will certainly be exciting to see where Moon Knight takes all these different characters and how they’ll work together to overcome Ethan Hawke’s mysterious Arthur Harrow.
Episode 1 and 2 are available to stream on Disney+ now
