Portland natives The Decemberists have locked in a Sydney headline date following the release of a new album and a scheduled appearance at 2016’s Bluesfest.
Following the success of 2011’sKing Is Dead,which spawned the Grammy-nominated single ‘Down By The Water’, the band’s seventh full-length effort,What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World,has so far been heralded by critics as their most varied and dynamic work yet.
Aside from their hugely successfully global touring, they’ve been featured ontheHunger Gamessoundtrack, made appearances onConanandJimmy Kimmel,and have achieved the life-long dream of any musician – to feature in animated form onThe Simpsons.
The Decemberists play theSydney Opera House on Wedensday March 30. Tickets go on sale Friday October 30.
